The Santa Fe Trailer Bitches defeated the Caracas Leones by a score of 11 to 8
at the ballpark.
Santa Fe drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
when they blasted Caracas for 7 runs on 7 hits. The crucial at-bat was
provided by Miguel Ojeda who brought the crowd to their feet when he stroked
a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners. Santa Fe lit up the scoreboard
in the 1st inning when they had 7 runs on 7 hits. Santa Fe had 20 hits for
the game and Caracas had 12.
The win was credited to Travis Harper(2-6) who went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing
1 run. Johan Santana(15-5) ended up with the loss.
